Plant Operator Wastewater

Overview

Become a Plant Operator with Liquid Environmental Solutions. This is a full-time opening.

Location:

2350 Crestview St., Kenner, LA 70062.

Pay range: $22 to $25/hr ($70,000 to $90,000 annual comp with OT). Plant runs 24 hours per day with three distinct shifts; flexibility is required.

• Manage the space for incoming wastewater and its treatment.
• Perform cleanup of the work area as required.
• Check tank levels to ensure adequate space for material processing.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment.
• May perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment including forklift and skid steer.
• May perform minor electrical maintenance functions.
• Clean and maintain process equipment.
• Follow all safety and compliance rules and regulations; wear and properly use safety equipment at all times.
• Always work in a safe and compliant manner.

• Ability to learn procedures related to the safe handling of materials.
• Commitment to growth within the company; collaborative with team members.
• Good eye-hand coordination and organizational ability.
• Reliable transportation; ability to be cross-trained to perform other jobs as needed.
• Ability to communicate with others regarding safety and efficiency requirements.

• One (1) year of experience as a Plant Operator with maintenance of water pumps and plant machinery (preferred).
• Laboratory experience is a plus.
• Must be willing to work in environments with strong odors and in hot, cold, and wet conditions.

• Lifting, climbing, and bending; must be able to stand for most of the workday.
• Varied weather conditions including hot, cold, and wet environments; strong odors.
