Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for an LTAC setting requiring ACLS, BLS, and an active compact or LA RN license.

• Active compact or LA RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Prior ICU experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission)

• LTAC ICU unit setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45-19:15)
• 13-week assignment with block scheduling considered
• Performs special procedures including TPN administration, wound care, drain management, foley catheter care, and narcotic administration
• Epic EMR experience required
• No on-call requirements
• Provide critical care nursing services within an LTAC ICU environment
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring extended stay at the facility during emergency events, as determined by unit management
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• Two Manager/Supervisor references (not Charge RN) required to obtain clearance to start contract, though not required for initial submission
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included on the candidate profile and discussed during the interview to avoid offer rescindment
