Field/Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Engine Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Kenner, LA.
$5,000 Sign‑On Bonus.
Key Responsibilities- Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field.
- Develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.
- Assist with completion of required documentation such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all meaningful Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues/incidents to supervisor.
- Basic level field service work experience.
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
- Customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience.
- Valid driver’s license and a 5‑year motor vehicle report free from major violations.
- Preferred:
Basic marine experience. - Eligible for on‑going random drug and alcohol testing.
- A valid license is required for this role.
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred).
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
- Locally valid driving permit.
Min Salary: $26,000 – Max Salary: $39,000.
Job Type: Hybrid Technician.
