Overview

Airside Experience Specialist - MSY - Part-Time. As an Airside Experience Specialist, you are the face of our private aviation terminal, delivering a seamless, personalized, and welcoming experience for every guest, crew member, and aircraft in our care. In this role, you ll combine hospitality with hands-on operational support to ensure guests feel cared for, from wheels down to wheels up.

This position requires schedule flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays, and outdoor work around active aircraft and varying weather conditions. If you enjoy creating memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced, luxury-driven environment, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and SOPs, ensuring effective communication to accomplish tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crew to meet service needs. Services include fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering delivery, and towing.
  • Proactively prepare for arriving/departing aircraft, identify open tasks, and raise safety concerns as needed.
  • Operate and drive ground service equipment (fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks, etc.).
  • Load/unload luggage and cargo into/out of aircraft and related areas.
  • Provide professional, friendly guest service and maintain a positive attitude to ensure an exceptional experience.
  • Offer safe transportation when driving shuttle vehicles for guests, luggage, and cargo.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations.
  • Fuel handling, including quality control, receipt, inventory, and documentation.
  • Understand and enforce safety, operational, and guest service requirements; stop work if unsafe conditions arise and report concerns.
  • Follow emergency procedures and security protocols as dictated by Signature Aviation and the airport.
  • Create accurate records for time worked and services performed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education and/or

    Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum age 18; ability to pass background checks and airport security requirements; valid driver s license (CDL may be required in some locations).
  • Legal authorization to work in the jurisdiction of employment; ability to pass color vision tests for fuel inspection.
  • Excellent judgment, ability to follow directions, and willingness to work varied shifts.
  • Preferred: 3–6 months of aviation or customer service experience or equivalent training.
Additional Knowledge And Essential Skills
  • Hospitality: strong guest service, ability to multi-task, maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Language:
    English proficiency for safety rules, operations, and communication.
  • Math: basic arithmetic, percentages, times, etc.
  • Physical Ability: able to operate vehicles and ground support equipment, perform tasks at elevated heights.
  • Critical Thinking, Interpersonal Skills, Multitasking, Computer Skills, Task Management.
