CDL, Truck Driver, Driver
New Orleans area drivers with a fresh CDL: you can start here, and you get paid while you learn.
What new drivers ask us firstHow much will I make?
After training, $1,200 to $1,800 a week. Your first 3 months solo come with a $1,000 weekly guarantee. Add a performance bonus, $15 stop pay and $75 plus mileage on short loads.
Will I be gone forever?
No. You're home every two weeks. Runs cover the South and the Midwest, everything east of Denver. No Northeast, no New England.
I've never driven a real route. Is that a problem?
Not if you finished a CDL-A school of at least 120 hours. You train with a mentor for 3 to 5 weeks (200 to 250 hours), paid every week, before you drive alone.
What kind of freight?
Dry van. Mostly drop and hook and preloads, with some live loads and unloads. About 1,800 to 2,900 miles a week once you're solo.
Do I have to work holidays?
Holiday work is volunteer.
