The Opportunity
We are seeking a Tax Associate to join our Kennesaw office. The ideal candidate will have some tax compliance experience, including internships or other public accounting roles. This is primarily an in-person role with potential flexibility to work remotely one day a week.
As a Tax Associate, you will possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Your main responsibilities will include tax return preparation, tax research, tax planning, and preparing supporting work papers for various tax returns and projects.
You will have the chance to gain broad knowledge working with our diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and companies across industries such as construction, manufacturing & distribution, real estate, and technology, as well as international businesses.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Preparing individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns, including work papers
- Applying basic tax concepts to provide tailored solutions to clients
- Researching and analyzing tax issues efficiently
- Collaborating with your team and communicating effectively with senior members
- Developing skills to build strong client relationships
- Understanding client industries and recognizing key business indicators and trends
- Participating in networking activities and maintaining industry contacts
- Completing other projects as assigned
Who You Are
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- You have a minimum GPA of 3.3/4.0
- Preferably, you have gained experience through a tax internship
- You are pursuing or plan to pursue CPA licensure
- You are an effective multi-tasker who maintains quality work across engagements
- You are committed to ongoing professional development
- You possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- You have a growth mindset and problem-solving attitude
