Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of the School of Accountancy for the academic year . These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
The School of Accountancy prepares professionals who combine business understanding, interpersonal skills, and accounting expertise to move organizations forward. We connect theory and practice at all levels of education, in research, and in consultations with the business community. Our faculty are nationally recognized for contributions to academic and professional journals and leadership in professional organizations. We offer a collaborative and collegial work environment.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate courses in accounting
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A Master’s degree or higher, or the foreign equivalent, in accounting and/or tax, or related field is required at the time of hire
- A current professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CIA, CMA) together with five (5) years of relevant professional business experience
OR
- A Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire
- A current professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CIA, CMA) together with five (5) years of relevant professional business experience
OR
- A Bachelor's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a discipline related to accounting and at least 20 years of senior level professional accounting experience at the time of hire
- A current professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CIA, CMA)
