Administrative Assistant – Bagwell College of Education, Office of Assessment & Accreditation
Join Kennesaw State University in this Administrative Assistant role to support the College of Education’s assessment and accreditation functions.
LocationPrimary location:
Kennesaw campus, 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Secondary location:
Marietta campus, 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Performs administrative, clerical and office support responsibilities. Supports assigned leaders, departments and/or units.
Key Responsibilities- Standard administrative duties in support of the assigned department, division, unit and/or location.
- Administrative resource for faculty, staff and guests visiting assigned locations, providing assistance as needed.
- Create, prepare and proofread emails, memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as requested.
- Answer office phone, provide information and/or transfer calls to appropriate contacts.
- Coordinate and schedule departmental meetings and events; secure space, equipment, food and assist with event needs.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing mail including UPS, Fed Ex and DHL domestic and international shipping.
- Monitor and assess office equipment, stationery and supply needs; order items as needed with prior authorization when required.
- Assist with records management including filing, correspondence, data analysis, tracking and archiving.
- Maintain department purchasing card (PCard), cash and/or credit card as required.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Required ExperienceOne (1) year of related administrative, office or clerical experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience providing administrative support for large teams.
- Previous experience in higher education.
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in a related field.
$16.13 to $19.23 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience.

- Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organizational, communication, time management, project management and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-up skills, customer service, phone and e‑mail etiquette.
