Bernstein School of Music – OverviewProvides artistic and administrative leadership for all collaborative piano activities within the School of Music. Ensures high standards of musical partnership across applied studios, ensembles, and divisions by coordinating rehearsal, performance and personnel assignments. Supports faculty and student performances, manages personnel for degree recitals cerrian, and provides coaching for sing, instrumental and chamber performances.
Responsibilities- Provide piano accompaniment for a full range of musical applications in support of Bailey School of Music faculty and students.
- Coordinate collaborative piano activities, including rehearsals, performances and personnel assignments to meet programmatic and artistic needs.
- Organize and support faculty and student performances.
- Manage personnel assignments for all degree recitals.
- Provide and assign vocal, instrumental and chamber coaching for student performances.
- Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
- Three (3) years of university-level performance experience with evidence of substantial collaborative piano work.
- An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
- Able to perform advanced literature.
- Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of vocal and instrumental repertoire and techniques.
- GMT: excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time and project management, and presentation skills.
- Advanced piano performance and collaborative skills.
- Exceptional collaborative musicianship skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications and programs associated with the position such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and follow‑up skills.
- Strong customer service skills and dev lephone debit email etiquette.
- This is not a supervisory position.
- This position does not have any financial responsibilities.
- This position will not be required to drive.
- This role is not considered a position of trust.
- This position does not require a purchasing card (P‑Card).
- This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time.
