This is a nine-month contracted, non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of World Languages and Cultures with a preferred start date of August 2026. Work will be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate German language and culture courses at all levels, as well as courses in English to support the B.A. in Modern Languages and Cultures, delivered in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
- Service to the program, department, college, university, community, and/or profession, including sustained efforts to recruit, retain, and mentor undergraduate students from a range of disciplines in a dynamic German Studies program.
Required Qualifications
:
- A Masterlip; s or terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D.), or the foreign equivalent, in German, Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
- OR A Masterlip; s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
- Native or near-native fluency in German and English.
Preferred Qualifications
:
- Evidence of successful college-level teaching experience in German language and culture.
- Experience in program recruitment, mentorship, instructional technologies, language pedagogies, course design, or assessment.
