Department InformationThe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) provides programs that wire students with in-demand technical and professional skills, including electronics, computing, communications, power, sensing, and controls. We offer ABET-accredited Bachelor s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, along with a Master s in ECE and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Engineering. Our students gain hands-on experience in modern engineering labs integrated with faculty-taught lectures, and opportunities for internships and research.

Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering for the academic year . These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering areas including circuits and electronics, electromagnetics, signal processing, digital design, embedded programming, and networking. Most courses are face-to-face and may have daytime or evening meeting times.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required QualificationsTo teach undergraduate courses:
- A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
To teach graduate courses:
- A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
