Department InformationOur faculty includes renowned researchers and expert practitioners in three complementary fields:
Economics, Finance, and Business Analytics. Students can design their education to align with their goals, selecting from applied and theoretical coursework across these three fields to prepare for their future careers. Outside of the classroom, we have many opportunities for students, including portfolio research in our award‑winning Student Managed Investment Fund, faculty mentored research through our Bagwell Center for the Study of Markets and Economic Opportunity, and policy and consulting work through our Economics of Education Center.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position as Clinical Assistant Professor of Economics, a member of the Education Choice Research Lab in the Department of Economics, Finance, and Quantitative Analysis with a preferred start date of January 2026. This is a nine‑month contracted position. The position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach one undergraduate course each semester (e.g., ECON 2300)
- Service to the Education Choice Research Lab, including publishing relevant research in the area of education choice, presenting relevant research at academic conferences, and raising the profile of the Lab through interviews and expert testimony as opportunities arise
- Maintaining research standards as required by EFQA
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- An earned terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
- Evidence of scholarship/creative activities, including publications in peer‑reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences
- Record of teaching experience, either as instructor of record or teaching assistant
