Department InformationThe Department of Technical Communication and Interactive Design focuses on combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience to prepare students for tech-adjacent careers involving digital environments and user experiences. The Norman J. Radow College of Humanities & Social Sciences supports workforce readiness with more than 80 programs and a focus on leadership, problem-solving, and civic engagement.
Job SummaryKennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Technical Communication and Interactive Design for the academic year . Positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hire and will be commensurate with credentials. Work will be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate courses in Technical Communication, primarily TCOM 2010:
Introduction to Technical Writing or lower-level TCID-prefixed classes.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Qualifications- A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Technical Communication or Professional Writing or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
