Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Program Instructor with KSU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute develops and leads non‑credit courses that are designed for adults over fifty (50) looking for an opportunity to learn in an engaging environment. Non‑credit courses range from academic subjects, skills and/or activities.

Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, develops and conducts a comprehensive instructional course for students enrolled in the OLLI course
  • Teaches students learning strategies
  • Conducts teaching and instructional activities using educational equipment, manipulatives, props, and/or other learning aids appropriate for the program and/or setting
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting a course syllabus prior to the start of the class
  • Assists with the planning, instruction and evaluation of tutoring and problem‑solving activities
  • Completes paperwork associated with classroom and project management
  • Reports student learning and behavioral issues to the appropriate staff personnel
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Required Experience Two (2) years of instructional experience relevant to the program content and experience with classroom management, adult learning, and effective communication and facilitation techniques.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Abilities Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines.

Skills Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills;
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite);
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills;
Strong customer service skills and phone and e‑mail etiquette.
