Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The History and Philosophy Department prepares students for adaptable, fulfilling careers by teaching a core set of transferable knowledge and skills through research, analyzing and assessing evidence, and articulating sound conclusions both orally and in writing. Students learn about the larger world by studying societies, cultures, and economies across a broad chronological and geographical spectrum, which makes them better global citizens, problem solvers, and communicators.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of History and Philosophy for the academic year . These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

• Teaching general education undergraduate courses in Philosophy.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

• A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Philosophy or a closely related discipline is required at time of hire.

OR

• A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at time of hire.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

• Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
• Record of past teaching undergraduate students in Philosophy
