ECE faculty are recognized at local, state, national, and international (or global) levels for transformative, impactful, cutting‑edge teaching and research on innovative pedagogical practices, interdisciplinary and global learning, educator well‑being and curriculum with real‑world applications.
Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part‑time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education for the academic year 2025‑2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in literacy education
- Collaborating with program and literacy faculty
- Supervising student teaching and/or clinical placements
- Gathering and scoring necessary assessment data for accreditation purposes
- Participating in faculty meetings, program meetings and literacy meetings
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Literacy or Reading Education or a closely related field with at least 18 hours of relevant literacy or reading graduate semester hours.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a K‑5 teacher.
- Experience, expertise or focused training in the Science of Reading.
- University teaching experience
- Online teaching experience
