Job SummaryFull‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, & Organismal Biology within the College of Science and Mathematics. Preferred start date August 2026. Nine‑month contract. Work to be performed in Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Environmental Science (e.g., Introduction to Environmental Science, Environmental Ethics, Environmental Science Senior Seminar). Additional teaching may include non‑major courses such as Science Society and the Environment I & II.
- Serve on departmental and college‑level committees; participate in B.S. in Environmental Science assessment and curriculum input.
- No research expectations; no departmental research support.
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Environmental Science or closely related field at hire.
- OR Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in unrelated discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
- Terminal/Doctorate degree (or foreign equivalent) to teach graduate courses; graduate coursework in environmental ethics or willingness to pursue before start date.
- Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Environmental Science or related field.
- Demonstrated success using evidence‑based teaching practices at university level.
- Record of teaching environmental science or related courses.
