Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the School of Government and International Affairs with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Public Administration.
- Teach courses of variable size and modalities, including large class sizes.
- Provide service to department, college, university, and profession.
- Maintain a sustained research and publication agenda on one or more subfields of Public Administration (e.g., budgeting, local government administration, policy studies).
- Doctorate degree (or foreign equivalent) in Public Administration or related discipline, at the time of hire.
- Experience teaching in-person, online, or hybrid courses.
- Evidence of scholarship or potential of scholarly activities in subfields of Public Administration.
- Record of past teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Likelihood of obtaining extramural funding.
- Ability to teach one or more of the following areas: budgeting, research methods, governmental relations, capstone, nonprofit administration, or state and local governance and administration.
- Evidence of successful teaching
