Department Information

The School of Data Science and Analytics (SDSA) offers programs from undergraduate to PhD levels. Our faculty conduct applied and interdisciplinary research in data science, analytics, and statistics, partnering with industry and other academic units to prepare students for a data-driven world.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the SDSA for the academic year . Positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hire and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, and related areas.
  • Advising students.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses:

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Biostatistics, or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

To teach graduate courses:

  • A terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Biostatistics, or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional experience working in a data-related field
  • Familiarity with Python, R, and/or SAS
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
  • Record of past teaching at a secondary or postsecondary level
  • Post-doctoral research experience
