Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Ecology & Evolution in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology with a start date of August 2026. This is a nine‑month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching at the undergraduate level with an emphasis on active and inquiry‑based learning.
- The primary teaching responsibility will be Principles of Biology II lecture (BIOL
1108) and the accompanying lab (BIOL
1108L), which emphasize evolution, ecology, organismal biology, data literacy, figure literacy, and the process of science. - Principles of Biology II is a coordinated course. A successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the undergraduate experience in the course and advance student's ability to succeed in the course and the biology program.
- The responsibilities of this position may include coordination of Principles of Biology II (laboratory or lecture in online or face‑to‑face modalities).
- Other teaching responsibilities may include other undergraduate biology and College of Science and Mathematics courses based on the needs of the department.
- Summer teaching is optional and based on the needs of the department.
- This is a teaching‑focused position with no research expectations or line of support for research.
- Professional service to the university, department, and/or discipline.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
