Job Summary
Assistant Professor of Psychology (Forensic Psychology) – Full‑time, tenure track faculty position in the Department of Psychological Science, Kennesaw State University, Georgia. Preferred start date August 2026. Nine‑month contracted position with a flexible workload model.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a record of impactful research and teaching excellence.
- Teach courses in forensic psychology and required core courses in the psychology major.
- Teach variable‑size courses in face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid modalities.
- Engage in programmatic research that results in refereed publications; secure extramural funding as appropriate.
- Commit to undergraduate education and mentorship.
- Provide service to the Department, College, University, and the profession.
- A Doctorate in Psychology or related discipline is required at hire.
- Evidence of promoting student success.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the university level.
- Demonstrated record of research and scholarship within the discipline.
- Specialization in forensic psychology or psychology and law demonstrated by coursework and research focus.
- Ability to teach courses related to specialization, Intro to General Psychology, Careers in Psychology, Research Methods, and/or Capstone.
- Effectiveness in face‑to‑face, online, hybrid instruction and in large classes.
- Effectiveness in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
- Experience or potential in securing extramural funding.
