Part-time and Limited Term Faculty Positions Department of English; Screenwriting

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of English for the academic year . These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Screenwriting. (particularly FILM 3105 and FILM 3125)

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

To teach undergraduate courses:

• A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Screenwriting or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

OR

• A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.

OR

• A minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience with significant and noteworthy credits at the time of hire.

To teach graduate courses:

• A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Screenwriting or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.

• Significant professional experience.
• Active in the field.
• Teaching and/or mentorship experience.
