Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full‑time, tenure‑track faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Security in the Department of Information Systems and Security with a preferred start date of August 2026. These are nine‑month contracted positions. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the technical aspects of cybersecurity
- Research and scholarship in information systems
- Professional service to the Department, College, and University
- The standard teaching load is 3/3 but is negotiable and can be reduced to 3/2 or 2/2 based on research productivity. College College provides summer research support for new faculty for up to 3 years. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
- A doctorate, or a foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Security, Cybersecurity or a closely related discipline, is required
NOTE:
Required degree must be earned by start date.
- Applicants with a doctorate degree earned from an AACSB accredited college/school
- Record of prior teaching experience (in‑person, online, or hybrid courses)
- Documentation of technical skills in cybersecurity
- Record of research accomplishments
