Lecturer of History

Full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position in the Department of History and Philosophy at Kennesaw State University. Preferred start date August 2026. Nine‑month contract. Work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of History. The role includes teaching general‑education undergraduate courses in history and participating in department and campus activities. Faculty are expected to teach courses of variable sizes and modalities, including large class sizes.

Responsibilities
  • Teach general‑education undergraduate courses in history.
  • Participate in department and campus activities.
  • Teach courses of variable sizes and modalities, including large class sizes.
Required Qualifications
  • Terminal degree, or foreign equivalent, in history or a related field at the time of hire.
  • Record of teaching undergraduate students in history.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in different modalities, such as online or hybrid courses.
  • Record of past teaching survey courses in world history.
  • Effectiveness in teaching different course sizes, including large classes.
