(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Department InformationDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate traveling exhibit program (communicate with host sites, deliver and set-up exhibits and supporting materials, gather assessment data).
- Assist with layout, design, fabrication, and installation of exhibits on and off campus, including building exhibit cases, interactives, and related structures.
- Offer facility and event support on Kennesaw and Marietta campuses.
Conceptualizes, coordinates and creates visual solutions for the Department of Museums, Archives & Rare Books. Oversees design concepts for exhibitions, interactives, websites and/or related collateral materials and manage and coordinate complex exhibition projects and programs. Works closely and collaboratively with museum staff and third parties such as artists, lenders, co-organizers, and vendors.
ResponsibilitiesEducational Requirements
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Required Experience
Four (4) years of experience as an Exhibit Designer or closely related profession.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced degree from an accredited institution in related field.
Preferred Experience
Experience with exhibit design technology and current standards in exhibition design.
The budgeted salary range for this role is $55,000 to $64,500 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Familiar with all American Alliance of Museums standards.
