Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is dedicated to preparing ethically conscious civil engineers and environmental engineers for the evolving demands of industry. • ABET‑accredited undergraduate programs (BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Environmental Engineering), a graduate program offered online and in‑person (MSCE in Civil Engineering), and an interdisciplinary PhD with specializations in Smart Infrastructure, Innovative Materials, and more.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience in all relevant upper‑level Civil and Environmental courses.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part‑time and limited‑term faculty positions in Civil and Environmental Engineering for the academic year 2025‑2026. These positions are on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the civil engineering discipline.

To teach undergraduate courses:

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

OR

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.

To teach graduate courses:

• A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
