Department InformationThe Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is dedicated to preparing ethically conscious civil engineers and environmental engineers for the evolving demands of industry. By combining rigorous academic foundations with practical, research‑driven experiences, we aim to cultivate future leaders in the field. - ABET‑accredited undergraduate programs (BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Environmental Engineering), a graduate program offered online and in‑person (MSCE in Civil Engineering), and an interdisciplinary PhD with specializations in Smart Infrastructure, Innovative Materials, and more.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part‑time and limited‑term faculty positions in Civil and Environmental Engineering for the academic year 2025‑2026. These positions are on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the civil engineering discipline.
To teach undergraduate courses:
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
To teach graduate courses:
- A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
