Geotechnical Field Engineer (Entry-level)

Nova Engineering & Environmental is looking for a Geotechnical Field Engineer to help manage a wide variety of geotechnical projects based out of our Kennesaw, GA office. You will provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients, including performing and/or leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations, design and development of plans and specifications, and the writing, preparation, and review of related reports.

• Operating and maintaining geotechnical testing equipment.
• Classifying soil, rock, and geological samples obtained from drilling operations.
• Assisting in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects.
• Analyzing data, performing engineering calculations and analysis, and reporting data to clients under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
• Interacting with client and project team.
• Following safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or similar is required.
• 0–3 years applicable experience (entry-level applicants accepted).
• EIT required or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong communication skills.
• Position entails approximately 90% fieldwork and 10% office work.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to pass a background check and MVR report.
