The Senior Design Engineer plays a pivotal role in leading the design and development of complex aerospace systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory compliance. This position emphasizes leadership in managing project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and driving innovation through advanced problem-solving and technical expertise. With a strong focus on collaboration and precision, the engineer utilizes advanced CAD tools and applies comprehensive aerospace engineering principles to deliver high-quality designs and documentation.

The role requires a blend of technical acumen, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement, supported by extensive experience and the ability to maintain security clearance.

• Lead the design, development, and integration of complex aerospace systems and components from concept through production.
• Serve as the technical lead for small to mid-sized engineering projects, providing direction, prioritization, and oversight to project team members.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and simulations.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers by providing technical guidance, design reviews, and professional development support.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide critical feedback.
• Lead the design and development of complex aerospace systems and components.
• Conduct in-depth engineering analysis and optimization.
• Prepare and develop 3-D models, 2-D drawings and other related technical documentation using Solid Works.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure project alignment.
• Support prototype builds, testing, validation, qualification, and certification activities, resolving technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering processes, design quality, productivity, and innovation.
• Advanced knowledge of aerospace engineering principles.
• Experience and proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Solid Works).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
• High proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
• Extensive knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes.
