Position Information
Our Service Advisors have front‑line responsibility for customer interaction. Responsibilities include determining a customer’s vehicle issue, documenting and preparing repair orders, scheduling service, communicating with the customer, preparing estimates, obtaining authorization, closing repair orders, and obtaining the appropriate form of payment from the customer.
This position reports to the Service Manager, is a 40‑hour a week position and is eligible for overtime. This position also qualifies for a monthly bonus incentive based on your individual gross profit.
To qualify for our Service Advisor position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must be able to read and comprehend instructions and information. Dressing professionally and being able to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts is a must. Two years of related experience in a dealership is required. General knowledge of truck mechanical operations required.
Sales experience preferred.
The Service Advisor position works throughout the service bays in an open garage area. The position is a physically demanding position. You will stand six to eight hours per shift. You will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. You will lift and transport up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
Road testing of vehicles also may be required.
