Service Advisor - 1st Shift

Peterbilt of Atlanta

We are looking for Service Advisors to provide front‑line customer interaction. Responsibilities include determining a customer’s vehicle issue, documenting and preparing repair orders, scheduling service, communicating with the customer, preparing estimates, obtaining authorization, closing repair orders, and collecting payment from the customer. This position reports to the Service Manager, is a 40‑hour a week position, and is eligible for overtime. The role also qualifies for a monthly bonus incentive based on individual gross profit.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Professional appearance and strong oral and written communication with customers, vendors, and contacts.
  • Two years of related experience in a dealership.
  • General knowledge of truck mechanical operations.
  • Sales experience preferred.

Physical demands:
This position works throughout the service bays in an open garage area. The role requires standing six to eight hours per shift, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling and feeling. You may need to lift and transport up to 50 pounds occasionally. Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials is expected. Road testing of vehicles may also be required.
