EASE experience, Engage, Ask, Solve, and Excite, to provide exceptional service at every touchpoint. - Direct and monitor all consumer lending operations, ensuring staff follow established lending guidelines and procedures. Oversee product quality, resolve operational issues, and manage all collateral-related functions.
- Lead and manage the Consumer Lending team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation to ensure a skilled and motivated staff.
- Underwrite direct and indirect consumer loans within assigned authority, making sound approval, decline, or counteroffer decisions that align with credit union policies, profitability goals, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain competitive lending programs, rate structures, and departmental budgets that support organizational goals and financial performance.
- Ensure personal and departmental compliance with all State and Federal laws and regulations, maintaining required certifications, registrations, and ongoing training (including S.A.F.E. Act, BSA, FCRA, RESPA, TILA/Reg Z, and related regulations).
- Assist in developing and refining loan policies, underwriting procedures, lending processes, and new product initiatives.
- Prepare and analyze operational and financial reports, including loan production reports, department updates, collateral reports, CPI reports, and other management-requested reporting.
- Participate in annual budgeting and monitor performance throughout the year. Help establish lending goals that align with organizational objectives and take action to support goal achievement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role within a banking or credit union environment.
- Management experience strongly preferred/essential.
- Lending and member service experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- College degree preferred.
- Must complete all annual training modules, including (but not limited to) cybersecurity, Bank Secrecy Act, and other compliance and regulatory requirements.
