Your New Role....

We are looking to hire a highly driven, dedicated and self-starter Senior Medical Compliance Officer to help ensure our standards and procedures meet all healthcare laws and regulations. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs that help the organization stay within legal and ethical boundaries. This role will inform management, staff, drivers, and independent contractors of the rules they need to follow to prevent irregularities and contribute to implementing an adequate compliance program by educating staff and independent contractors on compliance matters.

The HCO will lead company-wide initiatives that emphasize compliance, audit and reporting, and perform a range of administrative support tasks. The HCO leads the charge in ensuring things are done the right way, the first time, every time. And, when they’re not or issues come up, the HCO will be responsible for identifying them, remediating them, and keeping the organization on track for excellence.

Objectives

of this role....
  • Regularly communicating with government agencies and independent contractors to ensure all business operations comply with laws and company compliance program
  • From day to day, ensure all adheres to legal standards and company policies and standards
  • Act as the liaison between the organization and clients, ensuring staff/drivers/independent contractors comply with set company and client standards, policies and procedures
  • Liaise with other departmental heads to ensure that all business operations are in line with company policies and government regulations
  • Develop and implement department-wide quality control measures
  • Maintain communication with dispatch, staff members, drivers, independent contractors and clients (pharmacies/labs/hospitals etc.) to ensure adherence to protocols across key touch points
Key Duties and Responsibilities....
  • Keep up to date with changing regulations and healthcare laws to ensure the company's policies and procedures adhere to the necessary rules
  • Put in place compliance policies, procedures, processes, and codes of conduct that comply with regulations and prevent legal liability
  • Analyze internal business systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards
  • Pursue and maintain necessary and required accreditation - identifying which accreditation are needed, applying for them, adhering to the standards, ensuring ongoing compliance to maintain accreditation status
  • Develop, modify, update and implement programs that ensure the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations i.e. a variety of documents, procedures and protocols (such as checklists, forms and SOPs)…
