Hadoop development and related [Horton] technology stack.

• Experience with Hive, HBase, Pig, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie and Map Reduce on Hortonworks
• ELT/ETL development in Hadoop experience including working with custom code or ETL toolsets.
• Experience in designing and troubleshooting HBase, Pig and Hive queries and performance
• Experience designing HBase databases and tables.
• Java development experience and software development experience.
• Excellent aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts.
• Experience and knowledge of Linux
• Hadoop configuration, understanding and troubleshooting preferred,
• Experience with Cloud providers preferred
• Demonstrated ability to design, test, and deploy Hadoop applications

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Hadoop and related technology stack
• Strong software development or scripting skills
• Prior experience in Java/Java EE
• Data Modeling, Data Governance, Metadata and Master Data Management experience
• Demonstrable problem solving and debugging skills required
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills

• Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other business associates by telephone, correspondence, or in person.
• Consistent lifting of displays, folders, files, binders and other objects weighing up to 20lbs.
