Job SummaryResponsible for managing the full lifecycle of endpoint devices and audio‑visual systems across the university. Ensures accurate IT asset tracking, proactive inventory planning, and timely deployment of technology equipment to support faculty, staff, students, and new hires. Collaborates with IT operations, vendors, and support teams to maintain compliance, optimize asset utilization, and deliver high‑quality service experiences.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain reports on device lifecycle status, out‑of‑support equipment, and asset compliance.
- Provide leadership with actionable insights using advanced Excel reporting and data analysis.
- Ensure end‑of‑life processing meets institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Forecast inventory needs and monitor stock levels to support onboarding and role transitions.
- Track equipment orders and deliveries to ensure timely deployment.
- Review and approve IT purchase requests for alignment with standards and lifecycle policies.
- Build vendor relationships to support quoting, ordering, and delivery coordination.
- Lead annual lifecycle replacement planning for faculty, staff, student labs, and executive computing.
- Partner with University Information Technology Service teams to define and maintain endpoint standards and lifecycle governance.
- Coordinate with Field Support and AV/Desktop Engineering teams to ensure proper asset documentation and surplus processing.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding asset requests, delivery timelines, and lifecycle schedules.
- Support onboarding processes by ensuring devices are ready for new hires on day one.
- Collaborate on special projects related to provisioning and lifecycle optimization.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
- Three (3) years of related work experience
- An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
- Experience managing IT assets in higher education or large enterprise environments.
- Background in supply chain, procurement, or lifecycle planning for technology assets.
- Exposure to ITIL frameworks and asset governance practices.
- Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks, or projects at one time, meeting assigned deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and asset tracking systems such as Service Now, SCCM, Jamf, or Intune.
- Effective verbal and written communication across technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, asset management platforms).
- Proactive problem‑solving and independent decision‑making.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Strong phone and e‑mail etiquette.
- Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem‑solving, independent judgment, organization, time management, project management, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data trends.
