Position Overview

The SAP Manufacturing Lead will apply deep expertise in the SAP manufacturing process to deliver exceptional operational support for Artivion’s manufacturing operations. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and optimizing planning, procurement, Quality and manufacturing solutions that align with business processes, while driving standardization, process excellence, and best practices across global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business subject matter experts, cross-functional IT teams, and project managers to analyze requirements and design, configure, and implement SAP manufacturing, planning, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing Execution system (MES) and master data.
  • Configure, maintain, and oversee end-to-end manufacturing Operations, including supply chain planning, procurement, manufacturing, inventory management, Quality inspection, and related integrations needs, and master data.
  • Manage full project life cycles, including budget, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery of Manufacturing projects.
  • Lead Fit-to-Standard analyses, validate sub-process designs and process flows, and ensure solutions meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Support system upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements to enable seamless business operations.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, facilitate requirements gathering, and design integrated solutions across domains such as finance, Quote to cash, and supply chain.
  • Drive process enhancement initiatives, support solution architecture development, and oversee system configurations within SAP Manufacturing (Production Planning and Control), Procurement, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), SAP QM, and associated modules.
  • Mentor, coach, and guide project and consulting teams, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, documentation standards, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
  • Monitor solution performance, proactively manage risks, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction throughout engagements.
  • Prepare and deliver business facing presentations, workshops, and solution documentation.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities and building strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Foster an inclusive, innovative culture that promotes collaboration, continuous learning, and adoption of internal best practices.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (master’s preferred); 5-8 years of relevant SAP Manufacturing and Manufacturing Execution system experience.
  • Proven expertise in SAP manufacturing and MES processes, including functional design and configuration, with significant hands-on experience in S/4

    HANA environments.
  • Strong background in SAP batch management, serialization, make-to-order processes, and integration with order to cash, procurement, Quality and finance.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multiple SAP implementations and cross-functional project teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced analytical skills for mapping business requirements to SAP solutions and ensuring high-quality technical delivery.
  • Experience with Medical device manufacturing environment will be preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support project requirements.
