Job Summary

Provides support for research projects in the assigned area. Assists in conducting experiments, managing lab operations.

Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs data collection and calculations according to established policies and procedures.
  • Interprets and communicates results.
  • Makes presentations on research results.
  • Assists with writing research papers, conducts library research and prepares bibliographic materials.
  • Cleans and maintains research areas, makes buffers and common reagents.
  • Maintains supplies and orders as needed.
  • Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a field related to the position.

    Required Experience

    Prior laboratory research experience.

    Additional Preferred Qualifications

    Previous experience within the area of study.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities ABILITIES

    Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines.

    SKILLS

    Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills.

    Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite).

    Strong attention to detail and follow up skill.

    Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette.
