Sales Director

A prominent organization in the Building Materials Manufacturing and Distribution industry is seeking a Director of Sales in the greater Kennesaw, GA area to lead commercial sales strategy and regional sales teams across the U.S. and international markets. This position will drive revenue growth, develop customer and distributor relationships, expand market penetration, and lead sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers while establishing sales strategies, annual business plans, revenue targets, and profit objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering firms, contractors, distributors, and installation contractors.
• Identify new business opportunities, expand target markets, monitor competitive activity, and develop strategies to increase market share.
• Lead technical sales presentations, proposals, project-based pricing, and contract negotiations with major customers and stakeholders.
• Track sales performance, provide regular business reporting, and communicate market trends, opportunities, and competitive intelligence to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of outside sales experience with a proven record of growing revenue, exceeding sales goals, and developing new markets, including 5+ years in sales management.
• Strong background in lumber based building material sales.
• Proven experience in decking or related outdoor product sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce; bilingual skills are a plus.
