Position InformationResponsibilities
:
Our technicians are responsible for providing superb customer service by diagnosing, visual inspections, removal of parts and attachments, warranty repairs, performing preventative maintenance services, repairing lights and wiring, welding, cutting and other repairs.
Eligibility and Compensation
:
This position reports to the Service Manager, is a 40‑hour a week role and is eligible for overtime. For well‑qualified, proven efficient applicants, we also offer a flat‑rate compensation plan. This position also qualifies for a monthly bonus incentive based on upsales.
Qualifications
:
To qualify for a technician position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must have three years of diesel truck service and computer diagnostics experience. Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required. You must be able to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely. You must be able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Dressing professionally and being able to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts is a must.
Physical Demands
:
The technician position is physically demanding. You will stand six to eight hours per shift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. You will use hand and power tools. You will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds several times during each shift. You will use hoist and test equipment. You will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
