ResponsibilitiesBe a trusted member of the team providing various tax, accounting and advisory services to small‑business clients:
- Oversee and provide services related to accounting, bookkeeping, and prepared or compiled financials.
- Review and analyze accounting records and/or reporting with clients, provide analysis and consultation, and communicate with clients to discuss accounting and business matters.
- Deliver best‑in‑class customer service to clients at all times, with an emphasis on responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism and accuracy.
- Lead and plan client engagements, continually evaluating processes and procedures with an emphasis on implementing efficiencies and identifying internal control issues.
- Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on knowledge gained relative to the client’s operations, processes and business objectives.
- Manage and build client relationships, serve as a liaison to address and resolve client issues, and assist team leaders in researching and providing additional services to clients.
- Effectively delegate and oversee work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles, and scheduling deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery.
- Maintain current knowledge of local, state and federal tax practices and laws.
- Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community.
- Invest in professional development individually and through participation in firm‑wide learning and development programs.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; a master’s or advanced degree is desirable.
- CPA or JD required.
- Five (5)+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm.
- Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates.
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and a sense of urgency and quality.
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is preferred.
The compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
