Join a high-performing Emergency Medicine team in a well-supported Level III Trauma Center serving the Kennewick and greater Tri‑Cities region. We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to provide compassionate, evidence‑based care in a dynamic, fast‑paced emergency department.

Schedule

9‑hour shifts: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Position Overview
  • Team Structure: 6+ EM Physicians and 7.5+ EM APPs
  • Coverage Model: 27 hours/day of physician coverage, 22 hours/day of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
  • Level III Trauma Center, Annual ED Volume: 24,440
  • 21‑bed Emergency Department, 6 Fast‑Track beds, 14 ICU beds
  • Admission Rate: 10.8%
  • Transfer Rate: 1.5%
Imaging & Diagnostics

CT in‑house, Ultrasound available, MRI on‑call overnight, Bedside ultrasound utilized by all EM physicians.

  • Specialty Support Services:
    Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiac Catheterization, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Obstetrics, and Podiatry
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: 1099 rate of $300 per hour. Paid malpractice coverage including tail coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered emergency medical care across a broad range of acute presentations.
  • Respond to all floor codes, including neonatal resuscitation.
  • Perform patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and initiate evidence‑based treatment plans.
  • Utilize bedside ultrasound in alignment with department standards.
  • Collaborate with EM APPs, hospitalists, specialists, and nursing staff to optimize patient flow and clinical outcomes.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Completion of an Emergency Medicine‑accredited residency program preferred.
  • ABEM or AOBEM board‑certified/board‑eligible required.
  • Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with substantial emergency medicine experience will be considered.
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, PALS & ATLS.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high‑acuity environment.
