- Carry out the objectives of the sports program as outlined by the athletic director.
- Assist the head coach with administrative, program coordination, and developmental duties and responsibilities.
- Instruct participants in individual, group, and team techniques, tactics, and physical training necessary for success.
- Implement teaching and coaching philosophies consistent with the Kennewick School District and Washington Interscholastic Activities Association mission statements.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification and knowledge of related preventive health and training standards.
- Meet and maintain coaching standards as determined by the Kennewick School District and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated short- and long-term organization and management skills.
- Three current recommendations.
- Positive role‑model behavior.
- Clearly defined coaching philosophy for the level applied for.
- Coaching experience in golf.
- Effective public relations skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate with students, parents, assistant coaches, administrators, and community members.
- WIAA certification and compliance with WIAA and district rules and regulations.
Mobility: Stand and walk for prolonged periods; push or pull 18‑26 lbs.; sit, kneel, crouch, twist, bend; use hands for typing, finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arm.
Sense: Listen and speak in person and over the phone; taste and smell; vision requirements include close, far, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
Lifting: Lift or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 26 lbs. occasionally; lift overhead; quick physical movement in emergencies.
Work Environment: Perform outdoors in temperatures from –10°F to 100°F; wet and humid conditions may be encountered; noise level is moderate.
Physical Hazards: Exposure to outdoor weather extremes.
