Mechanical Engineer; Entry Level

We are looking for a mechanical engineer to join our industrial process team. As a mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting systems in a variety of industrial facilities with a primary focus on food processing. You will also collaborate with other engineers, designers, and construction crews to ensure optimal performance, quality, and safety of our client’s systems.

Location: Kennewick, WA Wage: $70k-85k

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, and zero to ten years of relevant experience. You should also have a strong knowledge of mechanical design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science. You should be proficient in using CAD software, such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, and/or Revit and be familiar with industry standards and regulations.

You should also have excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

• Perform on-site surveys of a facility’s equipment and systems
• Perform reality capture services using 3D scanning equipment
• Write up field notes and meeting minutes
• Produce design documentation including drawing packages, P&IDs, and FDDs
• Produce project documentation including scopes, schedules, and budgets

• Writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Excel skills and Windows software platform knowledge and experience
• AutoCAD, Solid Works, and/or Revit experience is strongly preferred
• Strong work ethic
• Good attitude and willing and eager to learn

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required
• 0-3 years of experience in mechanical systems design
• Construction and fabrication knowledge is a plus
