Position ObjectiveOur Client is looking for a highly skilled Tax Manager to join the team. They help individuals, families, and business owners confidently navigate their financial lives. As fiduciary advisors, they deliver personalized wealth management and commission‑free advice rooted in relationships, not sales.
Role Responsibilities- Proactively interact and communicate with clients to gather information
- Build solid, effective client relationships
- Participate in financial reporting engagements
- Prepare and review individual, trust, and business tax returns
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic tax planning for clients
- Provide comprehensive tax consulting services
- Assist with IRS and state tax notices and audits
- Analyze client financial information and identify potential tax‑saving opportunities
Contribute to business development efforts and promote firm services to potential clients
Education and Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from an accredited university
- Relevant experience in tax and accounting services
- Experience with high‑net‑worth individuals, small businesses, or estate/trust taxation
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Demonstrated investment acumen along with teamwork and people skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent communication, listening, and relationship‑building skills
- Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Passion for client service
- Team player aligned with the organization's core values
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and adaptable personality
- Experience with investment platforms and/or client service
- Adhere to company policies and support management decisions in a professional manner
- Represent Our Client with integrity and professionalism
- Adapt to changing business needs and deadlines
- Maintain neatness, dependability, and professionalism in appearance and demeanor
- Regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to schedules
- Climate‑controlled office environment
- Ability to concentrate under distracting conditions and frequent interruptions
- Ability to sit, type, and talk for extended periods (6‑8 hours/day)
- Occasionally stand, walk, or lift
