Temporary Prescription Prior Authorization Specialist

• Submit prior authorizations to insurance companies to ensure prescription coverage for patients
• Verify insurance coverage and prescription formularies to facilitate timely prescription pickup
• Maintain accurate documentation of authorizations and monitor patient prescription authorizations
• Address patient concerns and questions regarding the authorization process via phone
• Collaborate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and providers to resolve authorization issues

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in using personal computers for word processing and electronic spreadsheets
• Minimum of one year of experience in office work
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of chemical dependency and its effects on individuals, families, and communities
