Family Services Coordinator – Seattle Children’s
Coordinate patient encounters and provide patient support services to ensure that each customer encounter is positive, professional and efficient. Fulfill revenue cycle related requirements for optimal reimbursement.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care with other services to minimize access delays.
- Process incoming referrals and triage patient telephone calls to appropriate resources.
- Collect and/or update demographic and financial information, investigate pre‑authorizations and insurance approvals.
- Check in patients, process co‑pays and patient charge documents.
- Establish systems and resources to improve process and efficiency of the patient experience.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of one (1) year of customer service and/or administrative support experience.
Required CredentialsFor staff who work in schools, prior to the start of employment, individuals must submit a copy of a receipt directly to Human Resources (electronically) confirming they have completed the fingerprinting process as outlined by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
Preferred- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a health care setting or related field.
- Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment.
- Familiarity with other cultures and/or bilingual skills.
$23.15 – $34.73 per hour
Salary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full‑time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
