About the RoleIn this role you will support patients and community members by providing care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, measuring blood glucose, recording intake and output, and assisting with daily living activities. You will work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, perform basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Report to the Director or Manager of the Department.
- Provide care to diverse patient populations ranging from neonate to older adult.
- Maintain patient records and access protected health information securely.
- Manage occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
Education & Certifications- High School diploma preferred.
- Current WA CNA certification.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtain within 90 days after hire.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
