Position: JOURNEYMAN SERVICE PLUMBER

The Journeyman Service Plumber will be responsible for the following tasks including but not limited to:

Ability to work in diverse conditions, including mechanical equipment rooms with noisy equipment, extreme weather conditions on rooftops, outside of buildings, residences, crawlspaces, attics, and other confined spaces.

Perform physical tasks involving the regular use of fingers, hands, walking, stooping, and kneeling. Lift or move up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs frequently, and over 50 lbs occasionally.

Work from step ladders, extension ladders, or man lifts.

Commit to ongoing education through company and industry training opportunities.

Execute all duties and responsibilities of a Journeyman Plumber.

Supervise and oversee compliance with the State of Washington Plumbing License requirements for Journeyman and Apprentice plumbers and Mechanical Pipe fitters.

Plan, lay out, and supervise the installation of equipment and piping systems for Plumbing, Mechanical, and HVAC systems, ensuring code compliance.

Read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings, schematics, and code specifications for commercial systems.

Perform necessary math calculations to properly size piping in accordance with code requirements.

Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical piping theory, and systems including hot water, chilled water, and drainage.

Supervise the installation, repair, or replacement of piping systems and equipment, including testing for leaks and proper flow.

Troubleshoot and test equipment, piping, and fittings.

Learn to use and interpret diagnostic and service equipment for Plumbing, Mechanical, and HVAC systems.

Work flexible hours and occasional overtime.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Driver’s License.
Journeyman Plumber License.
Backflow Prevention License.
Experience in commercial plumbing services.
Experience with Mechanical Hydronic Systems (preferred).
