Senior Director Financial and Statistical Services
POSITION SUMMARY
The Long Term Care Finance Clerk is responsible for providing financial,administrative, and resident account support across multiple Long Term Care Homes, including Rainy crest Long Term Care, Emo Health Centre, and Rainy River Health Centre.
The role supports resident billing, trust accounts, accounts receivable, collections,and general finance functions. This position is based at Rainy crest Long Term Care with occasional travel to Emo Health Centre and Rainy River Health Centre tosupport resident intake meetings and specific financial processes as required .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Resident Accounts & Billing
- Assistand support the Financia/Statistical Analyst with Process monthly billing,payments, and account adjustments
- Support admissions, transfers, and discharge financial processes
- Respondto resident and family account inquiries
- Occasional Travel between Long Term Care Homes to meet with residents and families
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Process payments and prepare daily deposits
- In alignment with internal policy and process and the Long Term Care Act Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
- Establish payment arrangements and elevate delinquent accounts as required
- Follow formal bad debt escalation and documentation procedures
- Workwith Indigenous Care Coordinator and other support services to assist residents experiencing financial hardship
Finance Support
- Assist with reconciliations, trust accounts, and month-end processes
- Support accounts payable and general ledger tasks as required
- Generate reports and maintain accurate financial records
- Support audit and reporting requirements
Customer Service & Teamwork
- Provide respectful and professional service to residents and families
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams across all sites
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial matters appropriately
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade
12 diploma or equivalent (post-secondary finance/accounting an asset) - 1–3years finance or accounts receivable experience
- Experience with Point Click Care or other patient information systems an asset
- Strong Excel and computer skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites
- Abilityto work independently with accuracy and attention to detail
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office-basedrole primarily located at Rainy crest Long Term Care with occasional travelto other Long Term Care Homes as required to support resident intake and operational needs
- Frequent interaction with residents and families
- Dataentry and computer-based work
- Occasional lifting and file handling
