The Rainy River District School Board invites Qualified Elementary and Secondary School Principals and Vice-Principals, as well as Teachers working towards these qualifications to apply for the Principal/Vice-Principal Pool, which consists of a pool for the Atikokan area and a pool for the Mine Centre/West area.

Serving approximately 2,300 students in 12 schools, the Rainy River District School Board is a strong, progressive system that is seeking leaders with demonstrated school and District level leadership.

Placement of successful candidates to positions of school/system leadership will be based on:

• Organizational need
• Diversity and equity initiatives
• Degree of leadership readiness
• Demonstrated successes in management
• Educational and professional accomplishments
• Performance, adaptability, values, experience, knowledge/competency
• Relocation willingness
• Interpersonal skills, business acumen and other professional attributes with emphasis on the competencies, both instructional and personal, identified in the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Leadership Framework.
