Location: Fort Frances

Lead special education initiatives with Northwest Catholic District School Board in Fort Frances, Stratton, or Atikokan. This full-time Coordinator role focuses on supporting teachers and enhancing inclusive education programs.

As a Special Education Coordinator, you will provide leadership and direction in special education, aligned with the Board's Special Education Plan. You will assist educators in designing IEPs, support school teams, and ensure effective programming that meets the diverse needs of learners.

Your role is pivotal in promoting student well-being and engagement through evidence-informed practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

• Collaborate with Special Education Resource Teachers (SERTs)

• Conduct school visits and observe special education programs

• Lead professional development for support staff

• Liaise with community agencies to enhance student services

Requirements:

• Certification with Ontario College of Teachers

• Specialty in Special Education

• Previous leadership experience in education

• Strong background in curriculum and instruction

• Effective communication and collaboration skills
